Find out more about the Hands-On Heritage Project, a sneak peak at all ten Heritage: How To? Guides, the newly released Guides, further upcoming Hands-On Heritage Project events and an exciting lecture by Gill Allmond encapsulating the theme of reading, recording and researching heritage.
The Heritage: How To? Guides will be released in four phases, with an associated events programme:
Phase One: Read Heritage, Record Heritage and Research Heritage
Phase Two: Maintain Historic Buildings and Harness Heritage Skills
Phase Three: Defend Heritage, Rescue Heritage and Reuse Heritage
Phase Four: Make Your Heritage Project Happen and Finance Your Heritage Project
Gill Allmond is a buildings researcher and archaeologist currently working for the Historic Environment Division. She began her career as a researcher on the Second Survey and subsequently completed a study of Edwardian asylum buildings for her PhD, now published as Village and Colony Asylums of Britain, Ireland and Germany 1880-1914. Having focussed for several years on institutional buildings, she nevertheless maintains an interest in any and all historic buildings and can often be found, Covid permitting, poring happily through the valuation maps and records at PRONI.
FREE and Open to All.
This project is supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
This event is virtual and will be held online via zoom. UAH uses Zoom as its digital conferencing tool (www.zoom.us). An access code will be emailed to participants following registration.
