Heritage Arts Challenge: Drawing & Illustration Workshop with Marcus Patton
4th September 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
FreeJoin UAH for a virtual drawing & illustration workshop led by Marcus Patton, as part of our Heritage Arts Challenge series. The Heritage Arts Challenge aims to inspire people to create a work of art inspired by a historic building or place in Northern Ireland. In this session, Marcus will be introducing the art of drawing and illustration in the context of historic buildings. As well as showing examples of different approaches to drawing, he will cover some basic techniques to help understanding buildings and creating interesting images. The workshop is designed to encourage anyone with an interest in historic buildings to express that interest through drawing or painting – the point being that drawing a building involves really looking at it, which is a pleasure in itself. If you don’t think you are a good enough artist to enter the Heritage Arts Challenge, learn from this session that you are the only person that can draw buildings the way you can!
Free and Open to All
