Hands-on Heritage: Ballymoney Workshop

Join Hands-on Heritage at Ballymoney Museum for a workshop using the new In Your Area app. In Your Area allows us to build a shared map of local heritage, all you need is a mobile phone or similar device (If using apps is not your thing, there are other ways to participate and add to the map!).

The map draws on the local knowledge of participants, showcasing heritage buildings and places that matter to you, and preserving a record with the potential to influence public opinion and planning.

In a practical workshop, we will learn to document local buildings through photography on a walkabout of Ballymoney. We will return to the Museum to find out how to add the photographs to the map, and how information, oral history recordings, and historical images can be added to create rich and valuable records of our heritage buildings and places.

This is a free event, and no booking is necessary. Practical clothing recommended for a walk around the town!
